My name is Juicy Jules and I am the founder and owner of Juicy Pole Glasgow! I started pole 3 times a week way back in 2015 and I advanced quickly. I had my invert within 3 hours, Ayesha in 6 months and my first ever (mediocre) pole performance after 9 months of training! I began teaching upper intermediate/advanced pole voluntarily in 2016 and continued to do so until 2019 when I decided to go pro. By 2021 I was a fully qualified and insured instructor in all levels of pole fitness, flow, heels, spin pole and stretch. Since then I have performed and competed, coached individuals, taught group workshops and became the class cover option for numerous studios.  The same year I launched Juicy Pole Glasgow and have since provided services across the central belt of Scotland both on the pole and off, in person, as well as online.

Currently we provide weekly classes in Stirling, monthly in Falkirk and 121’s/private tuition in Glasgow, as well as various touring workshops, bookable through your own studios!

We also provide various off the pole options and online content such as our pole surgeries and workout plans in our bid to make pole accessible for all.

Juicy Pole Glasgow’s Ethos

I launched Juicy because I wanted to create a space and community that was accepting of all, and actively encourages the student to explore and find their own style of movement in a supportive and fun environment.  I am a big believer in the uniqueness of an individual and how their stories and experience not only deserve to be seen, but celebrated. We aim to create classes that give our students the opportunity to discover and embrace themselves and the elements of pole that appeals to them.  We teach all bodies and all people and pride ourselves on catering to the needs of the individual as much as possible so they truly get the best experience. Every body is different which needs to be considered whilst teaching, as what comes easy to one student, might never be achievable for another, and that is okay, there is no right answer. There are other ways to get upside down, other than a straight forward invert and so our syllabus is deliberate and thought out in order to cater for all.

Our instructors have a vast amount of knowledge and experience allowing them to offer progressions/regressions/variations to their students, adapting a move to the individual so they are safe and challenged but not disheartened. We want every participant to leave our classes happy, motivated and feeling like they did their best, had fun and were thoroughly worked out! We also understand pole isn’t always accessible due to costs and like any kind of niche business, prices tend to shoot up. That’s why we also offer a variety of online services from our conditioning library to our Pole Surgeries, meaning you can receive individual catered feedback without the cost of an in person 121. We also provide 4 weekly workout plans with your specific pole goals in mind to help you develop in and out of class. We have a variety of other non-traditional options in the hope we can make pole accessible to everyone. This continues to be developed as we aim to cater to all budgets, subsidise your training and give you more options for learning.

Although I, personally, advanced very quickly which felt wonderful at the time, it came with it’s own struggles involving motivation, plateau’s and imposter syndrome. I really have felt it all in my pole journey which is what makes my classes such a safe and encouraging space, accepting of all. We emphasise the effort and the fun side of pole rather than just focussing on results, cause if you’re not having fun, why are you doing it?
